Pin that picture!

Did you ever want to have a picture wall without frames?

That is what we wanted to do some years ago. We started to use chewing-gum-like adhesive, something special for pics. The thing was that with changes in temperature, the adhesive went hard and pealed off either the wall or the picture.

So we had to think of another idea.

We measured the wall, bought two wooden strips and painted them white (or the colour of the wall). Then we pinned the two trips to the lower and the highest part of the wall. We pinned special nails with loops (you will see them in the picture below) at about 3 cm distance to another.
Then we pulled magnetic metallic strings through the loops and fixed them with special beads you can squeeze, so it holds the string thight.

Then you have to buy ultra mini and strong magnets (so they do not disturb because you see more of the magnets than of the pictures) and that is it!

We first had the pictures in a cromatic order. Then we got bored to see the same pictures over and over again when coming home. So we now have a mixed black and white plus normal pictures on the wall.

Do you like the idea?

Maybe we will change it in some years and first paint the wall with magnetic colour and then with black chalkboard colour. So it will be possible to pin some pictures and write on the wall.
Brilliant idea from Cristy and Cee!
